Examples of SaaS cloud service providers include Dropbox, G Suite, Microsoft Office 365, Slack, and Citrix Content Collaboration. In each of these applications, users can access, share, store and protect information in "the cloud".
Next is IaaS, providing the infrastructure that many cloud service providers need to manage SaaS tools, but without requiring maintenance. It works as a complete framework for data processing and storage, eliminating the need for large resource-intensive, on-site installations. Examples of IaaS are Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Compute Platform. These providers offer a variety of storage services and networking hardware, and may also offer load balancing mechanisms, firewall solutions, and more. Most of the well-known SaaS providers operate on IaaS platforms.
There's another cloud service model known as "Platform as a Service," or PaaS, that works as a web-based environment in which developers can build cloud applications. PaaS provides a database, operating system, and programming language that organizations can use to develop cloud-based software without maintaining the underlying components.
