Speaking at the end of May at the London Business School, Prince Charles called on leading business institutions to focus on sustainability in their syllabuses.
A focus on sustainability and green issues will ensure that the next generation of leaders is aware of the impact that business has on the world, according to the Prince.
He called on those studying at or deciding on an whatsApp number database institution at which to study for their MBA to “ask yourself: is your chosen business school really going to equip you to be the kind of leader that is so badly needed for the next 50 years?"
He added that “nothing less will do.”
The event was organised by the Prince's Accounting for Sustainability Project (A4S) and the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
Its aim was to encourage business schools to lead the way by putting sustainability at the heart of their MBA programmes.
Sir Andrew Likierman, dean of London Business School, says that the programmes offered by the institution already cover sustainability, and that a driving factor in this change has been the interest from students, who are increasingly environmentally aware.
He adds that: “There is no doubt that there are some big challenges ahead for us all in this field. Climate change and a growing global population will present new financial, social and environmental challenges and we will need the tools and the insights to manage them. So sustainability is a priority concern as we plan for the future."
