3 ideas to make a creative and different email

There comes a point where achieving a varied email marketing strategy, with different emails that do not fall into routine, becomes increasingly difficult. This is where e-marketers must bring out their ingenuity and let their most creative side flourish to achieve original emails that make a difference and bring a breath of fresh air.

1- Make the subscriber play
We often forget that, even though we are not children, we are all telecommunications email list attracted to games and the act of playing. Taking this into account, why not challenge the subscriber in our email with some kind of game? Take them out of their comfort zone, out of what they are normally used to receiving, and challenge them with a game while relating it to your products or services.

As we can see, it is a creative and visual idea that encourages people to want to participate and interact much more than any other email with a more traditional approach.


Here is another example, in this case from Tom Raffield , where through a simple question: “Can you guess where we are going?” and the option to “reveal three clues” they draw the user’s attention and challenge them to think and guess the answer. The “Tap or hover clue to reveal” is an attractive and highly clickable element, clearly boosting the click rate.


These are just two examples of how we can make subscribers play and participate in a campaign. But we have many options: riddles, word searches, crosswords... let your imagination run wild!

2- Tell him a story
We have just seen how through “games” we can attract the user’s attention and increase the engagement of our emails. However, there are other ways to achieve the same impact. Stories are one of them. Tell them a good story and, without a doubt, you will captivate them. As curious beings that we are, we love anecdotes, stories and tales, everything that takes us away from reality and awakens any kind of emotion: joy, sadness, nostalgia… We are emotion seekers by nature!


This is where storytelling comes into play . Applying it to your email marketing campaigns is another way to achieve a creative and different email. Videos are a good ally to explain the story, but not the only one. Everything will depend on the type of story we want to tell and its length.
