Video has become an indispensable part of online learning. Developers often struggle with high costs for (studio) recordings, editing and professional voice-overs. But can you also get by with recordings from your mobile phone? And what are the effects of using cheap creations? Learn and be inspired by a few examples.

Video is an essential part of online courses, leading to higher engagement, satisfaction and better learning outcomes . Especially for a generation of millennials who grew up with mobile, internet and YouTube, video is indispensable for learning. MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) often even consist of 80% video.

Online course providers often struggle with the high costs of a professional studio, subtitles and/or transcript, interactivity in video, ( native ) professional voice-overs or motion graphics . Whether you are making a sales training or compliance course. It is video, video and more video; the name of the game. It is fun to see and attend countless sessions in the US on the subjects of cheap production and effects of amateur video. I will explain four examples.
