Post by kumartk »

Every trade requires the right tools, and that's no different for search engine optimization. This is probably the millionth article about the best SEO tools you've come across in your research. However, since there's no "perfect" SEO tool, we'd like to introduce you to the tools our SEO managers at vierviertel prefer to use for search engine optimization and website SEO analysis.

Why is search engine optimization so important?

Search engine optimization aims to optimize your website for greater visibility in search engine linkedin data Today, ranking on the first page or even in the featured snippets (position 0) is the most important factor, as many users rarely browse beyond the first page. Technical requirements such as loading speed and mobile optimization, as well as content that addresses keywords and user intent, are particularly important.

If you want to delve deeper into the topic of SEO, I recommend our article " What is SEO and how can I use it? ", which provides a good overview of the process of optimal SEO optimization.

What is an SEO tool?

SEO tools are tools that support you in the search engine optimization of your website. They allow you to analyze keywords, content, technical components, and backlinks, or gain an overview of your website's visibility, traffic, and ranking. SEO tools help you make informed decisions about your strategy and thus achieve better results.

Our favorite tools for SEO optimization:

1. HubSpot
Since Vierviertel is a HubSpot agency, we're naturally fans of the HubSpot toolbox. One highlight is the cluster model, in which subpages (clusters) are grouped thematically around a central main page (pillar page) and linked internally. This structure signals the relevance of a topic to search engines, which can lead to better rankings . Through these internal links, the search engine recognizes the relevance of this topic, which leads to higher rankings in the SERPs. For more information about the cluster model, see our blog: Improve your ranking with HubSpot SEO .

Additionally, HubSpot offers features such as:

Metadata optimization : meta descriptions and page titles.
Structuring of content : Optimization of headings (H1 to H6) and URLs.

2. Sistrix
The Sistrix tool checks your website's visibility and offers detailed insights into Core Web Vitals, mobile-friendliness, and keyword performance. Using a keyword set of over 250,000 terms, the top 100 positions in organic search results are analyzed weekly. We've explained the significance of the Visibility Index in another blog article. Read more about it in " How relevant is the Visibility Index? "

3. Sistrix SERP Snippet Generator
To create appropriate meta descriptions, we like to use the Sistrix snippet generator . After entering the URL for which you want to create the page title and meta description, the text will be displayed in a WYSIWYG editor (mobile and desktop). The length of the title and meta description will be checked. You can also add special characters and highlight keywords. You can read more about why meta descriptions are so important in the context of search engine optimization in our article " Better website rankings through an optimal meta description ."

4. Seobility
Seobility offers a comprehensive SEO audit. Particularly useful: On-page optimization shows you where errors like duplicate content or unoptimized Core Web Vitals are hiding. We use Seobility primarily for backlink analysis.

This tells us:

Where backlinks come from.
Which backlinks are particularly valuable.
How we compare to the competition.

5. Google Search Console
Google Search Console is essential for identifying technical issues like indexing errors or crawling problems. It also provides detailed information on clicks, impressions, and keywords that lead users to your website. It's especially helpful for identifying which search queries you're already ranking well for and adjusting your content accordingly.
